Una revista gossip de Serbia ha publicado parte de un articúlo sobre Principe Heredero Alejandro y su mujer, Katherine: "Un Dia en la Vida de los Karageorgeviches". Lo subo aquí para vosotros, aunque sea en ingles.
Life at the court in DedinjeAuthor: M. Crnogorac | 20.10.2009 - 08:22Reporters of the magazine “Puls” spent a day with the royal family Karadjordjevic at their court in Dedinje. This is a part of the story in which Aleksandar and Katarina Karadjordjevic talk about their life in Belgrade, the court, children, Serbia in the EU, etc. Before all their daily obligations, the Prince and his wife have breakfast alone which Katarina prepares.
“It is our very important tradition. I wake up before him, sometimes even at 6 AM, because our professional obligations start at 8 AM. Aleksandar likes eggs, especially domestic, so we have our hens here. I go to take them in the morning and prepare breakfast before he gets up,” says Katarina, adding that even when she doesn’t have planned obligations during the day, she always thinks of work. The Prince reminds her that she should sometimes have rest, especially when they are in Belgrade.
“We often plan to watch some good film with a bag of popcorn, but it never happens,” says the Princess.
“When we got here, we found a lot of works of art, but none of them had a dossier. We made an artistic archive, because it is very important that all masterpieces are filed. This is a real small Versailles and it is open to anyone who wants to see the beauty of these courts. I am extremely happy that people come every day to see it and because they want to know more about our history. Maintenance of the royal complex is expensive and the Karadjordjevics say that it was always a big problem for them when they came and it still is.”
“The courts get old like people. This royal court was renovated about thirty years ago, while The White Court hasn’t been renovated and it is in worse condition. The roof leaks, which is very bad for the masterpieces there. It would be nice if the Government helped us, because it is also a history museum,” says Prince Aleksandar, while Katarina adds that not a day passes that they do not call repairmen to fix something.
“This is our home, it is not a hotel. We live on the first floor, which is very comfortable and pleasant. A real home atmosphere. We owe it to my grandfather, he hired the best architects from Serbia and Russia and made a good home for his family. The White Court is more classical, while here it is more comfortable. The two of us have our own rooms, our sons as well, there are several guest rooms, as well as a porch where we like to sit and where we can enjoy a wonderful view of the park.”
This is only a part of an exclusive story from the home of Karadjordjevics. The rest you can read in a new edition of “Puls”.http://www.blic.rs/culture.php?id=5352
