El Rey y la Reina viajarán a Francia y Alemania para la primera Visita de Estado del nuevo reinado, del 26 al 31 de marzo de 2023.

La visita celebrará la relación de Gran Bretaña con Francia y Alemania, marcando sus historias, cultura y valores compartidos.

The King and The Queen Consort will undertake State Visits to France and Germany

The State Visit Programme

Their Majesties will travel to France on Sunday 26th March until Wednesday 29th, undertaking engagements in Paris during that time and on Tuesday 28th, visiting Bordeaux. Highlights of their French programme will include:

The King and The Queen Consort will join President and Mrs. Macron for a ceremony of Remembrance and wreath laying at the Arc de Triomphe;

His Majesty will address Senators and members of the National Assembly at the French Senate;

Her Majesty, together with Mrs. Macron, will officially open the new Manet and Degas exhibition at the Musée d’Orsay;

Their Majesties will be guests of honour at a State Banquet hosted by President and Mrs. Macron at the Chateau de Versailles;

His Majesty will witness first-hand the devastation caused by last summer’s wildfires on the outskirts of Bordeaux, hearing from emergency workers and the local community about their experiences;

Their Majesties will mark the opening of the British Consulate in Bordeaux and meet members of the local French and British communities;

The Royal couple will tour an organic vineyard, which has pioneered a sustainable approach to wine making.

Their Majesties will arrive in Berlin on Wednesday 29th March. On Thursday 30th, they will undertake engagements in Berlin and Brandenburg, before heading to Hamburg on Friday 31st March.

In Germany, highlights of their programme include:

A ceremonial welcome by President Steinmeier and Frau Büdenbender at the Brandenburg Gate;

Their Majesties will be guests of honour at a State Banquet, hosted by the President and his wife at Schloss Bellevue;

His Majesty will address the Bundestag, the German Federal Parliament;

His Majesty will meet refugees recently arrived from Ukraine and hear about the support Germany provides for them;

Her Majesty, accompanied by Frau Büdenbender, will visit the Komische Oper in Berlin, to learn more about the opera company’s outreach projects and community engagement;

In Brandenburg, His Majesty will meet representatives from a joint German/U.K. military unit and see a demonstration of their bridge-building amphibious vehicles;

In Hamburg, Their Majesties will visit the St. Nikolai Memorial, the remains of a church which was destroyed when the Allies bombed the city during the Second World War. His Majesty and the President will lay wreaths during a short ceremony of remembrance.

His Majesty will learn more about the port of Hamburg’s adoption of green technologies, meeting representatives from some of the firms involved.

The King and The Queen Consort will attend a celebratory reception with Hamburg residents and members of the local British community, accompanied by the President and Frau Büdenbender, marking the end of their State Visit.

Cena en Versailles y recibimiento en la puerta de Brandenburgo, no está mal.

En Berlin, al ser la etiqueta black tie, podría usar tiara perfectamente. Pero ya queda a su juicio. Veremos cual será el dresscode en Versailles, en el Elíseo es de corto y lounge suit para ellos... Pero la corte de Lilibet siempre hizo cambiar estas cosas, así que veremos que sucede con Carlos.

Francia y Alemania fueron los últimos países a los que Isabel II realizó visitas de Estado.

Como monten cena en Versalles, con lo teatral que es Macron, y la etiqueta sea traje y corbata...



No creo que Camilla siga los usos y costumbres de Lilibet. Ella sacaba la tiara y las condecoraciones a pasear aunque su anfitrión le recibera en pijama. Ya en la última cena de la Commonwealth, Camilla apareció sin tiara ni joyas importantes. Es una pena, pero también es cierto que queda un poco ridículo y disonante ir enjoyadísima con un tiarón cuando la etiqueta del anfitrión rige todo lo contrario.

En otro orden de cosas, qué mal que Macron no haya visitado todavía España. Los nuestros fueron enseguida, dos veces (por lo del avión en los Alpes), y aquí tenemos que remontarnos hasta Sarkozy. ¡Somos vecinos, compartimos frontera!

En mi opinión, el uso de tiara y órdenes debería estar fijado por la etiqueta que disponga el organizador. Aunque seamos sinceros, muchas veces ni estos mismos saben cómo ir vestidos encontrándonos con mezclas extrañas en un mismo evento, especialmente en repúblicas dónde este tipo de cenas no es lo habitual.

Tema aparte, si tan pronto van a visitar Alemania y Francia, podría ser que un futuro cercano visiten España, otro de sus históricos vecinos? Correspondería que el ''nuevo'' monarca visite al más ''antiguo'', no?

La única que lleva tiara a todos lados es Máxima y solemos comentar acá seguido que parece disfrazada la mayoría de las veces. No hay que mencionar que Charles y Camilla ya son gente grande y esas diademas deben pesar lo suyo, ni hablar cuando las tenés 2 o 3 h en la cabeza, sino más entre la cena, las fotos, ir y volver, tener que caminar de una forma para que no se te caiga, entiendo la lógica.

Me da pena igual, no lo negaré pero le tengo fe a Camilla. Tiene buen cabello, se puede poner cualquier cosa en ese nido setentista que aún usa y queda bien. Sabe cómo quedar bien sin parecer de carnaval y no es poco en estos días.

A España vendrán, pero no antes de que haya acuerdo con Gibraltar, ese que llevan rumiando dos años.

Si vienen en año próximo, a lo mejor debuta Leonor en esa cena.

Olvidate Febe, fijo que las dos hermanas debutan a la vez.

Ya veremos... Seguro que lo preferirán así, pero no les va a quedar otro remedio que hacer que lleven vidas separadas desde el próximo curso. Sofía se irá a Galesdurante dos años, y si Leonor ha venido poco a España desde el internado, su hermana, menos. Vendrá en vacaciones, nada más. No por la Fiesta Nacional, ni se justifica ya por los premios Princesa de Asturias. En los próximos premios, Leo aún es menor, pero en los siguientes, en 2024, entiendo que ya no la acompañará nadie, salvo su madre, tal vez, desde el palco. Cuando Leonor jure en las Cortes su agenda se ampliará, no creo que la paralicen por la ausencia de Sofía.

En mi opinión, si Leonor está en Madrid, y no en una de las Academias o embarcada, se unirá a una cena de Estado de alguna monarquía.
