Estaba pensando que, de los cuatro hijos varones de Valdemar & Marie, sólo uno -Axel- se casó dentro de la realeza, en concreto con Margarethe de Suecia. Aage se casó con Mathilda Calvi dei Conti di Bergolo, una aristócrata italiana; Erik con Lois Frances Booth y Viggo con Eleonora Green.
