Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie step out in thigh-skimming satin as they celebrate mum Fergie's 50th birthdayPrincesses Eugenie and Beatrice went for matching thigh-high satin dresses as they marked their mother Sarah Ferguson's 50th birthday last night.
The young princesses decided to show their shapely legs in short mini-dresses and black high heels as they attended an intimate dinner at the five star Lanesborough Hotel, a stone's throw away from Buckingham Palace.
The low-key celebrations come amidst rumours the Duchess of York cancelled a 300-strong party at the Royal Lodge in Windsor amidst financial concerns.

Attending with her rumoured boyfriend, frozen food tycoon Geir Frantzen, Fergie looked slightly downcast as she left the Hyde Park Corner hotel at 2am this morning wearing a multi-coloured scarf over her black dress.
While Fergie kept it simple in black, her daughters went for a more eye-catching look.
Her youngest daughter Eugenie, 19, wore a pink kaftan dress, while older sister Beatrice, 21, opted for a cream flowery dress with full skirt.
After their mum's dinner, the sisters moved on to Annabel's members club, where they carried on partying until the early hours.
Leaving the club, Princess Eugenie was given a lift home by her bodyguard in a sky blue Nissan Figaro.
Fergie's spokeswoman insisted she had always planned a small birthday celebration, but denied she was facing bankruptcy.
Ferguson has had a difficult few weeks after it emerged her American 'lifestyle and wellness' company Hartmoor LLC is predicted to close with debts of around £600,000.
Her spokeswoman said: 'She has faced some challenges and difficult times with one side of her business, Hartmoor.
'She's resilient, will work through the situation and bounce back from this.'

Among the guests at her birthday meal were Fergie's new friend Lisa Marie Presley, who brought her husband Michael Lockwood and mother Priscilla, and Sir David Frost.
Unlikely companions Fergie and Lisa Marie struck up a friendship after meeting in America - where the former royal spends a lot of her time - earlier this year.
After the untimely death of Lisa Marie's ex-husband Michael Jackson in June, Fergie offered Elvis Presley's daughter her Marbella, Spain, villa in which to grieve in private.
The 41-year-old also attended Beatrice's 21st birthday in August.
Lisa Marie spoke publicly of her devastation at his death and said they had always remained close friends following their 1996 divorce.
She said: 'He was an amazing person and I am lucky to have gotten as close to him as I did and to have had the many experiences and years that we had together.'
Fergie's birthday meal was made by internationally renowned and Michelin-starred chef Heinz Beck, who took over the Lanesborough's Apsley's restaurant last month.
In a recent interview, Fergie insisted she wasn't worried about hitting the landmark age and looking forward to the future.
She said: 'I've learned a lot over the years, and the biggest is that life is about three Cs. You speak your mind, which is communication. You compromise, to take the other person's point of view.
'And then you have compassion, meaning you forgive yourself for some of the things you've done, instead of beating yourself up about them. Once you've figured that out, your life will change.'
She added: 'I've got children's books to write. The girls are at university, but I've got my charity work, and I'm planning to gallop across the US to save the mustangs. I'm just beginning my life.'
